HI. My name is Kaytlyn. I am a huge fan of THE HUNGER GAMES, CATCHING FIRE, and MOCKINGJAY! My favorite characters are/were Cinna, Prim, Rue, and, shock, President Snow. If you have finished reading MOCKINGJAY you will understand. Does anyone know why Suzanne Collins made Gale go away? Did anyoone besides me like like Gale better than Peeta?
Just curious - why is President Snow one of your favorite characters? I will say, I did like how at the end of Mockingjay he reminds Katniss they weren't going to lie to each other.
I also liked Gale - but at the same time I thought her experience in the Hunger Games (not just Peeta) created a tension between Gale and Katniss that wasn't likely to resolve itself. For example, when Gale suggested they create an avalanche to entomb everyone in The Nut Katniss was upset - even though she killed people (as Gale pointed out) Katniss seemed to justify her killings as self-defense. It just seemed like throughout the book they were growing farther and farther apart.
Kaytlyn, do you wish the book would have ended differently? If so, how?
Pres. Snow was one of my favorite characters because he wasn't the one that killed Prim!
Yes, as I said before I like Gale better than Peeta and even though Katniss and Gale grew farther apart, they were more alike than she and Peeta. Anyway, Prim should definitely not have been killed and neither should Finnick have died.
I agree about Prim and Finnick... I was really sad when Finnick died... especially since it was covered so quickly - he was such a major character and yet his death seemed glossed over.
